Miyakoshi Europe and its distributor and exclusive importer in Spain, OMC, were present as participants in the recent XIX national label manufacturers’ congress held in Lanzarote from 11 to 14 May 2017.
“It was a real pleasure to be able to attend the ANFEC congress, both on a personal level and as the representative of Miyakoshi Europe. I was pleasantly surprised by the organisation and the excellent human environment and environment conducive for forming relationships there. I had the opportunity to become familiar with and understand the characteristics and real needs of the Spanish label printing market in greater depth, and to confirm that the semi-rotary offset technology developed by Miyakoshi is the best solution to satisfactorily meet its demands and requirements. Furthermore, being with, sharing and living with many of the leading Spanish label producers for several days provided a much better qualitative understanding of our market, an understanding that will allow us, as manufacturers, to apply all of this knowledge in future developments. The market is not homogeneous, and we must adapt our technology to the various unique characteristics of production and/or printing and of each workshop”, says Yuichi Ikeda, the General Manager of Miyakoshi Europe.
“Due to its characteristics, the Spanish label printing market is a perfect fit for the semi-rotary offset technology developed by Miyakoshi. Our range of machinery is designed for short and medium-sized runs of high quality, and this type of product is a very good fit for the wine, oil, beverages and other markets found in particular in Spain and the south of Europe. In Spain, we now have a solid technical service base and a sales base from which we can offer support to our clients and we are in constant contact with the plant in Japan” says Enrique Rodríguez, the Sales Manager of Miyakoshi Europe.
“Miyakoshi has been met with exceptional acceptance in the Spanish labels market. Since February 2016, when we installed the first UV Miyakoshi semi-rotary offset technology at Grupo Argraf, we have sold five units, three of which have already been installed and in full operation. Furthermore, each of these machines has a specific configuration that has been totally customised as a function of the activity or particular characteristics of production of each printer including offset bodies, flexo, hot stamping, lamination, die-cutting, double die-cutting, etc. The extreme flexibility and adaptation of Miyakoshi technology to the different requirements of each label printing workshop allows us to offer a solid and competitive proposal for small, medium-sized and large runs. The Miyakoshi label printers in already in operation in Spain are noted for their mechanical reliability, their high and uniform productivity (we can reach maximum print speed and operate at maximum performance irrespective of the width, development or print format) and the added confidence of access to a proven direct technical service with many years’ experience in offset printing, such as ours”, says David López, the head of Miyakoshi at OMC, sae.
